The Claremont Colleges have joined together to implement a new financial system, Workday Financials, a modern cloud-based application. This system was selected to meet major needs for robust reporting, integrated budgeting and planning tools, and business processes with embedded electronic workflows and document management. Workday Financials will provide many additional benefits, including mobile access to accounting and budgeting information, high level system security, flexibility in configuration and semiannual system updates. Phases I and II of the implementation went live in July 2015 and July 2016 and included core accounting (general ledger), suppliers (accounts payable), customers (non-student accounts receivable), banking and settlement, grants, fixed assets and projects (capital project accounting). Phase III went live in January 2018 and included a suite of human capital management (HCM – human resources) modules and payroll.
Accessing Workday
Workday can be accessed through the Finances Staff/Faculty portal and via Workday's website. The Staff/Faculty Workday portal also has training manuals and other resources to help navigate the new system.
